Dell 2007FP or a Sony TV

What would be a better option: To watch TV on a Dell 20 inch Ultrasharp 2007FP or a Sony 20" CRT TV?
My TV broke, and I'm trying to choose between a 20" Sony CRT TV for $225 or a brand new Dell PC with a 20" LCD(hot deals, about $600). Could the dell system be used to watch tv? I would purchase a capture card for this purpose.
I do not have or need HD, and I do not watch DVDs, just regular TV show on DSC, TLC, NG, and CNN. I do have cable, just not HD. Not really worried about the dell LCD or the sony tv not being wide screen.

Thanks

20 in crt for $225??? Thats a rip off. You can find people dying to get rid of their big clunky CRTs on craigslist.

i would just get the 20in LCD.

he's right. anything above 150 for a new high-end CRT is outrageous.

stick with the 20" LCD.

i'd say get the tv. you might be hard pressed to find a tv tuner that can display in the dell's native resolution.
