Make sure your refresh rates are within range. Not only the vertical, but ALSO the horizontal rate. If either are out of range, liney weird stuff will appear, even on LCDs. Check your OSD (on screen display). It should tell you resolution and vertical rate/horizontal scan.

yea, i'm using the 6.1 driver, and it's hooked on DVI......so the monitor is at optimum/default settings at 60hz...the problem it seems now is that dvi on this computer seems to show line shimmering....but there's no troubles on vga or dvi on another computer using nvidia FX5200

not sure what the horizontal frequency is........but i'm pretty sure it's the default setting since it's connected by DVI, which auto adjusts.......should i try to exchange my video card?

I just got my 2005FPW today and had this exact issue with my ATI X800 XT AIW. I fixed it by downloading PowerStrip, going into Display Profiles -> Advanced Timing Options, and reducing the RAMDAC Pixel Clock a few notches down to 118.602. No lines whatsoever. I hope this helps you.
