Dell 2005FPW display problem

I love this monitor, but for some reason I cannot view the post screen (or anything on the computer for that matter) until Windows XP login comes up. I think it might have something to do with the fact that I'm using the DVI cable and I believe the DVI on the 2005fpw is DVI-D (digital only), but I was wondering if that is in fact correct? Anyone else run into this issue or know of a work-a-round? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I don't have the 2005FPW, but I have the same problem w/ my Planar on DVI with WinXP. I just make sure to have the LCD on before I power on, or during the first second after it. After the bootup, everything works fine.

When I was using Windows 2000, the lcd wouldn't come back on if I used DVI and I ever turn the monitor off while the computer was on. I'd have to make it change the resolution or go into power save (and out of it) before a signal got sent to the monitor to let it know that it should be displaying graphics. 😛

However, I don't have a solution for you. I don't really know what the problem is. Just be lucky you're not using Win2k and having the problems I used to have..

Sorry I do not have these problems...I have a AIW 9800 pro and I am using the omega drivers.
I am always able to see the boot menus through dvi

I am wondering if it's because I have an older video card. Perhaps my video card doesn't output DVI-D?
