Yesterday, I've bought a Dell 2005FPW with 1680x1050 native resolution. I have an Ati Radeon 9000 64Mb DDR and I don't know if this card supports 2005FPW with its native resolution. I need to know it. If this card doesn't support it, which is the most cheaper card I can buy to enjoy this display with this resolution?

I don't play games, only office applications and sometimes movies. I wouldn't pay 200$-400$ for one, because I needn't it.

Can anybody help me?

the card should be fine. nearly any card can display 2d resolutions of any size. what you pay for is the 3d performance.

sure? Somebody tell that this display doesn't work with their cards. In www.dell.com I can see that (ATI ALL-IN-WONDERTM 9000 64 MB DDR-SDRAM) isn't compatible with 2005FPW it's really?? and Ati RADEON 9000?¿?¿

A boy just tells me that he has ati radeon 9000 PRO 64mb and 2005FPW and... perfect!!

But what about radeon 9000 (without PRO) has the same microcontroller? and... what about ALL-IN-WONDER 9000 which Dell says that it isn't compatible??¿?

Thanks everybody for your answers!

Where did you buy your monitor & for how much?

I'm pretty sure the vanilla 9000 should work as well. Do a search... I remember a thread about the 2005FPW and graphic cards.

I can gurantee you it will work as long as you install the drivers.

Why can I gurantee?

Because of our widescreen monitors best friend.

Widescreen Gaming Forum

Below is a link to someone with your card and shows that it works. He made the mistake of not installing the drivers for the monitor first but once he did it worked fine.

Linky Linky, Dont forget to Blinky

Hope this helps friend.
