Dell 2005FPW & 6800GT Analog Input Problem

I must be blind, but I have searched everywhere but found no solution. I'm pretty sure someone must have experience the same problem as I have, but I just don't know how to solve it. Basically, if I'm using only the analog connection on my 6800GT to connect to my Dell 2005FPW, there's no way for me to setup the monitor with the correct default 1680 x 1050 resolution. It seems like the video card doesn't detect the monitor's setup if I use the analog connection. But if I use the DVI, then there's no problem to setup 1680x1050. I've tried to install the monitor driver but when I try to setup monitor resolution, but the Nvidia control panel would only recognize the monitor as a Analog Display then Dell 2005FPW. On the other hand, if I use DVI connection, the card can recognize the monitor as Dell 2005FPW, therefore, setup the resolution correctly.

Is there a way for me to force the video card to display 1680x1050 resolution? Or how can I solve this problem? TIA

U have install the monitor driver?? R u sho? display the monitor name, 2005FPW?
u can force to install monitor driver, update driver->from list->not search, I choose.......


or some software should work, such as powerstrip.

Yes, I've force installed the monitor driver and it showed up as Dell 2005FPW in the Control Pane. But some how, it only shows as a "Analog Monitor" when connect to my 6800gt.

I guess I will give Powerstrip a shot.
