DELL 2005FPW $334

So I have one stuck pixel (green, I believe, in the lower third of the screen toward the middle) and a little backlight bleeding. Is it worth sending back? I've seen mixed reviews about this process.

Either way, I must say I LOOOOVE this monitor and certainly decided to keep it. Anyone want an 18" Dell FP1800 in perfect condition for cheap? =]

You can always rotate it so it will be a lot taller than it is wide.

how do you switch it to portrait mode? not physically, I know how to rotate the monitor. Is it supposed to switch automatically or do you change resolutions or what?

I installed the supplied nVidia drivers for my wife's GeForce2 (hey, it works for her!) and the tray icon had a simple way to switch from landscape to portrait.

still think its shady that one of m neighbors accepted the package with my name on it

maybe its time to move lol

 
amd4life how did you find out ur neighbor had it? Did UPS knok on his/her door? or did he/she knok on ur door to let you know??
Thank god no SWAT sniper were send in, i will ask for sniper if my neighbor sign for my LCD specially this one lol
 
Mine had no dead or stuck pixels. I dont think i do anyway. But had the backlight issue. So I got another just the other day and it had a backlight
issue also but not as bad as the first. I couldnt tell while playing games even doom 3 so I decided to keep it. Shouldve probably just kept the first one
but people on the forums seem to make a big deal of it so thats the only reason I exchanged it. Other than that im extremely happy with this monitor.
Ive been waiting a long time for one of these babies but could never pull the plug when it was around $400 since I have to pay tax and an environmental fee.
 
man all I know that dell got on that UPS A$$$ so fassst is was crazy man

all the way from india LOL

went to pick up a printer, and voila one day later the montior was loaded on my truck ??

it wasnt opened or anything

so either DEll overnighted me a new one, or they found it at the suspects house, as there is STILL no one named guiterezz on my block???????

go figure, who cares im happy I have one finally
 
This might sound lame but is this deal dead or can I still get one for that crazy low price?

You know, I missed this deal by literally minutes but I scored a used 1905FP for $225 shipped and he says it has no dead pixels or backlight issues, so I'm still happy. It should be here tomorrow. 🙂

Got mine yesterday finally, and i dont think there are any stuck pixels but there is definitely backlight bleeding. Ive never owned an lcd so not sure if its within normal levels or not.

if you are using dvi... every settings have to be done via software...

search through the display properties

dell releases coupons at the end of every quarter. so these deals pop up now and then. maybe wont be $334 next time but these are less then $400 usually.

same here...i sold them off for $500 each befor they dropped in price.

now i have a 2405 and a 2005
 
I paid $750 shipped for two (2) 2005fpw in July 05 😀 and $899 shipped (recently) for one 2405fpw 😱
