Crap. Ordered one of these earlier on in the day yesterday for 410 dollars and by the time I went to cancel it, it had already shipped. Still, after pointing out the price difference between small business and home office I have a 35 dollar credit coming to my credit card. That makes it about 375 shipped for me. Pretty hot deal anyway.
 
I was procrastinating for the longest time this am cause I didn't want my wife to rag on me but decided this deal was to good to miss. All ya'alls overwhelming response to this thread convinced me enough to take the thrashing from the ol'lady. Thanks!!!
BTW is the AS501 Sound Bar any good?
 
Yeah, I had a small business one in my cart and ordered and decided to cancel since Dell would have charged me a 24 dollar 'handling fee' to return the first one anyway. Bleh. Can't complain about the sub-400 dollar price I guess. Heh.

As for the AS501 Sound Bar, my in-laws have it and it's not bad if you don't want/need much bass. They got it for space savings and seem to enjoy it pretty well but they don't listen to a lot of music on it.

I'm sorry to be bothersome, but from one Anandtecher to another - "Congrats on getting in on the LCD deal!" I just wanted to ask you how it was possible to apply a $100 dollar off $500 coupon with the price (after 25% discount being sub-$500). I tried calling a Dell representative, but the cheapest price they good give me was $431.67 shipped. Please help.

1. The coupon already expired so you won't be able to use it.
2. The $500 amount refers to the list price.
 
Rule one of fight club is to never call the seller. Someone on slickdeals called this morning and ruined this whole deal.. The guy on the other line said that you shouldn't be able to take 100 off of the monitor since it was less then 500 and that his manager was going to look into the 330 deal. Now people are reporting that their orders have been cancelled.


NEVER! CALL! THE! STORE! ABOUT! A! DEAL!
 
Weird, so you are saying they have some automatic out of control coupon creating program that sometimes malfunctions and has to be caught by a human?

mine is not cancelled yet. It has been confirmed and is scheduled to be delivered by friday. Hopefully it actually does get here by that time. (doubt it)

Next time, read the thread, plus countless others on other hot deals forums. You'll see that it was a mistake, but some of us are (hopefully) getting in on it. ITS TOO LATE.

Calling = #1 no-no of this stuff. You're calling to see if something that's not supposed to work will work? So they can flag the system and prevent anyone's orders coming through?

Since this was a mistake deal, probably wont see something like this again in a while. The cancelled orders are random. :frown:
 
I had what would be my 3rd 2005 in the submit phase in my dell account sitevery early this am but then changed my mind or chickened out. 🙁
 
hope mine ships as , its nto scheduled to ship till december 5th??? huh what? of course this after I just sell my crt darn now what to do lol
 
While it is unfortunate someone called them, the ultimate reason as to why this deal is no longer around is because of the people abusing the deal in order to try and turn a profit on eBay. With reports of people buying 10+ at a time, their inventory is probably so low that they were forced to eliminate the deal. Some guy claims to have ordered 75 to sell on eBay.

If your order gets cancelled, just ask the guy who ordered ten for one. Oh right, he'll want $400 for it. Well, think about that.
