That price is before shipping and tax. After shipping and tax, the number would be closer to 590-600 dollars, but still a good deal nonetheless.

In Home Division the 2001FP is $599, no tax (in most states) and free shipping. It's could be a better deal.

A stupid question, do you have to have a small business to take advantage of this deal? Dell would be kind of stupid to let anyone to take advantage of this deal...

For me in Seattle the 2005 comes to $612.56 after tax and shipping... man, this is sooo tempting...

EDIT ** Well, stupid me, I jumped on it. I might regret it later when I see it for less, but I guess thats the way with all parts. Widescreen gaming here I come...

Me too!

And I milked them for another $85 off... I have 3 deadpixels... in the corners though.. and I got tired of returning them (4 replacements)... is 3 dead pixels worth the $85 discount? I dunno....

Wow, $484 is a heck of a deal! Anyone have any clue how often Dell has deals as good as that? $549 sounds pretty good to me, and I'm thinking of ordering one, but I'd hate for the price to drop to $484 next month...

If you call the 1-800 number the rep will almost always give you free shipping and more times than not they can even beat the price on the web. Unfortunately the rep I got couldn't give it to me for less than than 549, but i did get free shipping.

Interesting. So what do you do, just come out and ask if there's anyway they can lower the price, or give you free shipping?

I bought 3 of these with the 25% off coupon beginning of Jan.
I ended up returning all of them (after getting 2 replacements) because non of them were 100% defect free.
Best one I got had 2 sub-pixels that were stuck on (one red and one blue).
Backlight on them were ok.

I think I'm gonna wait for a bit for quality issues to get better.
Maybe the rumoured 24" widescreen will be better or Samsung will come out with one that's 16ms or less.
Too bad I can't find a B&M store that sells the HP 2335 or I'd pick that up for the component inputs.

I believe BenQ has a model that has similar specs. Only it's a bit pricier.
Haven't found anything that can touch Dell's price point (though playing the lotto on bad pixels is something I'd rather not deal with anymore after going 0/5).

I just ask them if they can fax/email me a quote with shipping included. Everytime I've done this they've written free down in the shipping and about 50% of the time the price on the quote is lower than what is on the web site.

edit: a few times the quoted price was higher than the website. when i pointed this out they've matched the online price and still let me get free shipping.

update: when i placed my order yesterday it said that it wouldn't ship until the 10th with a delivery on the 14th. just checked and the website says that it has shipped with a delivery scheduled for the 9th. here's hoping the site's right

I just ordered via the phone and they gave me fee shipping as well. Thanks for the tip, iceperson, looks like you saved me $15.02!
