Wrong. You don't need a box or a receipt.

Since your purchase is tied to your membership card they know exactly who bought it and for how much.

Do you or anybody else have any review links on the Viewsonic? I like much of their stuff. I'll admit the Sceptre looks tempting, but customer reviews at many sites are not exactly glowing overall. There's another thread here mentioning the Viewsonic, but nobody had an reviews to offer.

nope, the 2005fp is also listed on dells website, they are both wide, but the listed specs makes it impossible to tell if they are the same. I would guess one is newer model. the 2001fp is the 20 in 4:3.

Regardless, look at the resolution. 1680x1050 = Widescreen. I have the 2005FPW and that is my native resolution.
