when i plugged it into my nf7-s rev2 it only detects it as a generic usb hub, so i guess that means not usb 2.0 but i've read somewhere on here that it does have 2.0

did i not install something? cuz i have the most up to date winxp service packs and even installed the drivers for the lcd that came on the disk

any suggestions?

The Generic USB Hub does not indicate if it is USB 2 or 1.1. I have the Viewsonic version of the 2001FP which also has a USB hub and XP only detects it as a Generic USB Hub. But it has no problems exceeding 12Mbit/s on transfers to an iPod for example.

oh, great to hear

imma try to plug my usb 2.0 jumpdrive into one of those ports to see if i get that annoying msg saying that it could operate at a faster speed jes to test it out

thanks!

I have the 1705FP (which I believe uses the same USB components) and it does in fact run at USB2.0 speeds as long as the monitor is on. I find that when my monitor is cut off, XP reports that the hub runs at the slower 1.1 speeds.
