Dell 2001FP problem PICTURE SHOWN

Hi, I'll get straight to the point.

I had the 2001FP for approximately two months now. I began to notice a faded black color kinda of a greyish or "brighter black" color on a large portion of my screen whenever I have a dark or black background. Should I send it back under warranty? I centainly did nothing for this to happen, and it tends to get quite annoying.

On a side note, the problem starts on the top right and moves down, you can notice it in the picture

Do you have any electrical devices in the vicinity of the
effected portion of the screen (speakers, stereo, etc..).

Have you tried to Manually Degauss the monitor?

Nothing, I tired factory settings and all. Well it had a sub-pixel too, perhaps the new one will be free of pixels and defects.

IIRC, when this monitor was on Hot Dealage late last year there were a few peeps who were unhappy with the light leakage, which is what you are experiencing. I would RMA that puppy. I have one, but mine seems to be okay from a light leakage perspective. Occasionally I will have trouble when booting, in that the screen goes black after POST, but power cycling it seems to fix the problem.
