Dell 2001FP Drivers

Will having the drivers installed do much for me? Right now its just recognized as a plug and play monitor (I'm using the DVI connection) and its working fine.

I'm mostly asking because the drivers dell current has do not support Windows XP x64 Bit Edition 🙁 Just wondering if I'm missing out on anything useful.

Thanks

Monitor "drivers" are in fact just a listing of what resolutions and refresh rates the display supports. They are only needed if the plug&play detection failed. (Monitors have these data builtin, for readback through the PnP data channel inside the VGA or DVI cable.)

Just create your own using PowerStrip if you really want a "proper" driver installed.

My two screens are just "Plug & Play" monitors.
