Small Business section: Dell Dimension 2350, all the cheapest options are already selected. Regular price is $699. There's a 15% SB coupon that brings it to $594.15, and a $100 rebate that brings it to $494.15 + free shipping (add tax and it'll be in the $520 range.)

Use ebates.com or fatcash.com to get a percentage of your purchase back.

Note: There appear to be different kinds of SB 15% codes floating around, each good on different kinds of PCs. You're gonna need the code that says valid on Dimension 2350 PCs.

Features:

- 2.2 Ghz Pentium 4 processor
- 128 MB DDR RAM (no big deal, DDR ram is cheap everywhere)
- 15" LCD monitor
- 60 GB hard drive
- choice of either 48x/24x/48x CDRW drive, or DVD drive, or get DVD-RW for $80 more
- 16 MB USB memory key (the new replacement for floppy drives)
- Integrated sound and video (no option to upgrade... it can't all be perfect)
- 6 months free AOL
- 2 year warranty at no extra cost

whats the deal with the video cards with these machines
totally unreplaceable and therefore ungamable?

I know the integrated video is not meant for hardcore gaming and whatnot, but my question is how will it do for DVD playback and PhotoShop and CAD?

Also, when does the deal or coupon end? and is the coupon a 1-time use coupon or a general use coupon code?

In one of my many conversations witha Dell rep on the phone, I was once told they change all deals on Wednesday night. The catalogs that just came out don't show Thursday's deals to be very good. Just double memory free and free shipping. I was hoping for a rebate or something. Dell seems to be creeping up on prices, so maybe this is a good deal. All I need is he computer, not the FP, so I am not sure this is too great. Selling the FP on flea bay does not look like it will bring much money.

Also, IF you need a modem and speakers, a better deal MIGHT be to buy one of THESE. You get speakers, modem, a FREE DVD player in bay 1, a CDRW in bay 2, all the other free upgrades (60 Gig and USB pen drive) all for $67. Upgrading on the above configuration costs $50 for speakers and a modem alone, so the second player (DVD) costs only $17. Just depends on your needs. It is of course quicker and easier to copy CD to CD if you have 2 players 🙂

JJordan: You can sell the flat panel on ebaay for $230-$250. That isn't a lot of money? That would make this system only cost $250-275.

Actually, with tax, the system would cost ME $627 less $100 rebate = $527. Then if you sell the monitor GROSS $225 you net something less than that from Flea bay, but even ignoring charges from Flea bay it would be about $310 for the computer alone. That is a good price I agree completely, but I have to sell the monitor and take the risk it only sells for $200. All I really want is a cheap QUIET computer to replace the noisy one I built from spare parts for my wife to put in the kithen. This is good, but hard to pull the trigger after I got my 18" FP with a 2350 celery system (I know they are cheaper) for $585. Unfortunately I sold that Celery to someone at the office for $300 since all I wanted was the monitor. VERY POOR PLANNING.

Auctons Closing Recently:
$197 for Monitor Here
$202 Here
But $256 In This One

Thank you for the direct link.

Unfortunately, I have been unable to get to it after connecting to dell from fatcash.

JJordan:

In two of your auctions, the seller closed the auction early.....So, dismiss those. I'm telling you, you'd get $225-$275 for these. In addition, after you overchange for shipping, you'd make back some of your fees. Use Buy It Now, and you'll sell it. You just have to know the market and then price it accordingly...
