hi guys, I just got the lcd last nite, currently running analog, mite switch over to dvi soon

I got some color reproduction problems, biggest one i noticed is that the red looks too light, when i put it to blue-preset mode, it looks a little better, other wise it looks almost orange. Also the colors looks kinda weird, and the thing is too damn bright even when i turn the brightness down to 40%, going down to 0 wont help much neither, have to play with my video card settings

So the ones who own this monitor please help me out, is it going to get better if i switch to dvi??

I posted this recently but still haven't heard any feedback:

I got a 1905fp, had a few dead pixels and RMA'd it for another, but both seem....well, compared to my NEC LCD1760NX they replaced....really....REALLY....washed out. Like, the gamma was too high or something.

Anyway, I'm wondering if this was a common problem. And, on the off chance it is, I'm curious to see if this color profile fixes it. I used the ColorVision Spyder on my monitor to create that profile, and I'm wondering if it looks better on other types of Dell LCDs, if this is a 1905fp-specific thing, or if it was just my bad luck to get a couple crappy monitors.

I think the 'washed out text' is just a color profile problem and I think I've solved it. Wish I could get some feedback on this!

thx man, I tried the monitor with DVI, didnt help, and returned it (before i saw ur posting)

plus the thing was ghosting like crazy too, I'd see my mouse pointing making trails (and it's not suppose to) and if i drag and ove a small black/red picture around, I see trails everywhere too, really bad when i compare to a benqT903 16ms panel.

Was the ghosting due to my video card settings? or is it all like that...

What do you have for a video card? I've not had any of the stated issues with my Samsung LCD, or with the ViewSonic I had before this one. I always run LCD's at the max/native resolution and find I don't have any of the problems people bash LCD's for.

Wow, old card... Maybe you should think about upgrading your video card before dumping more money into LCD's.
