The Dell Branded 18" LCD is going for around 440. Is that a good deal? And how is this monitor? I know that LCDs arent that great for gaming, but would this monitor suffice for mid level gaming? Thanks.

Look here

If you would like more input, search for 1800FP and weed thru the threads.

FWIW I have (2) 1800FP's and I see no ghosting during the games I play (UT2K3), or when watching a movie thru PowerDVD XP.

It is a great monitor. I wish I had purchased two, but only had the cash for 1. I, too, see no ghosting when gaming. I usually play GTA and CS.

Are you guys with DVI using cleartype, and if so what are your settings? I have a Raedon 8500 LE w/ DVI and I've tried each option in cleartype, and I can't avoid a little blurryness...Thanks

there's a fix for the blurry font for people using analog, but i'm not sure if it'll have the same effect on DVI connections: LINK
