Which of these is the best 17" LCD for GAMING?

I don't want to go 19" because it's too much of an increase in price for such a small difference in screen size.

Thanks.

Actually there is only ONE 19" I would consider, because the price is so great.... and that's the Hyandai L90D+.

Does anyone have the exact specs on the Dell 1704? Their lame website doesn't have any detailed specs on their monitors.

On Newegg, it claims the Hyundai has 16.7 million colors (8-bit panel) yet all the reviews claim it has the old 6-bit panel. What gives?

someone on this forum said it was 6-bit, too. it could be just advertisement. i don't know for sure. zzf has this for a $340 and free 2nd day compared to newegg's $355's. stick around for now and wait for egg to have it on sale for around $300 again. can't say when that is, but it's worth the wait.

Can't go wrong with the Viewsonic VP171B.

It's an "old" LCD since i got mine 2 years ago, but the colors are vibrant, it's very stylish looking, never seen anything close to ghosting with the 16ms response time.

I have never looked back and I don't plan on buying a new LCD for years.

I guess as of now, my main question is Viewsonic VP171B vs. Hyundai L90D+...

The VP171 is smaller, but great response time and 8-bit panel.

The L90D+ is larger, great response time but 6-bit panel.

I personally believe that since the resolution is the same, you are better off getting the 17". However, if your eyesight is bad, then the 19".

Dell 170FPT. Better response time than FPV (12ms vs. 25ms), roughly the same price. Better monitor for gaming.
