I got mine today also. The wireless light does not come on until a wireless device connects to the access point. Just like the ethernet ports will not light up until there is a device present.
Cute feature.

Thanks koosh517.

I'll try playing around w/ this tonight, since in my old D-link, it comes on no matter what.

just sold my WRT54G on amablazon for 75.00.. glad I got in on this deal. Its like getting a better router and a 16 port switch for FREE.

Trying to replace my D-Link 614+ with DELL TrueMobile 2400, but can't make the ports forwarding work. I turned DHCP off as my WIN2K server is doing that, and changed default 192.168.2.1 to 192.168.0.1. Nothing else!

Called DELL Tech Support (had to wait 50 min, compare that with D-LINK almost instant response), and they could not help as it states in the manual that port forwardding in not supported by tech support.

Anyone got PORT FORWARDING working??

Whay I am missing here??

Alo, sonder why option asks for IP and MAC address -- sounds like a dual question!

Thanks...

Apparently, the 2300 is made by:

Found this from a post on Dell's support forums.

Also, regarding port forwarding, I have it working...if you're still having problems, drop me a PM, I can help you. It is actually really straight forward...so hopefully you didn't give up.

This deal is obviously over, but I just can't get over how well designed the wireless router is. Not only does it have incredibly good range - 5 bars throughout my house (maximum distance 45ft with 3 walls and plumbing inbetween), and has all kinds of user configurable options.

Moreover it can also be used not only as a gateway or an access point (without DHCP), but also in bridging mode - i.e. together with another TM2300 you can expand your network and feed the second (or a third!!) TM2300 into a remote switch.

Another remarkable thing on this deal is the manual for the 16port switch. It is probably 150 pages. No instructions, but all kinds of safety advice and liability disclaimers in what appears a Gazillion languages. What garbage 🙂 - the TM2300 OTOH comes with a thin install guide that basically only refers to the CD not even IP address or passwords are mentioned - go figure... 🙂🙂🙂

They were offering the router free with some notebooks about three weeks ago (that deal was still be on for a few modells a couple of days ago (e.g. 300m) ), but this was inSB servers under dell networking 16 port switch for $89-$25MIR with free wireless G gateway - too bad it's over.

Anyone having any problems with theirs? Mine worked great for weeks...now it boots up..it will link up ethernet but the power light doesn't go on and it doesn't function at all...back to my wired router for now. 🙁

Crap why did you bump such an old thread.. got all excited and was about to order until I noticed its dead 🙁 poo
