Ok, you gotta try this.
Take a red cabbage head (95c in the store)
Discard outer leaves
Cut in half.
Store half of it.
Take a cheese grater and grate the other half.
Cut a red onion into small bits
cut up three apples (I leave the skin on, some people peel it).
Pour a couple of tablespoons of olive oil in a large frying pan . . . and dump in the onion and cabbage and apple in the pan.
Heat it till it sizzles, the back off the heat and cover for 20 minutes. Every 5 or so stir it. If it sticks at a tiny bit of water then recover.
At the 20 minute mark splash some apple cider vinegar (about 3 tablespoons into the mix)
then about 2 tablespoons of brown sugar.
At this point, I shake a little cinammon in too. Stir and cook 5 - 6 more minutes.
Eat with some kind of sausage or bratwurst . . .
