Deleting and formatting?

I have formatted twice, since it was a friends before mine and was wondering if i deleted the patition, would it be just as easy to setup xp again or alot more complicated, other than using my windows xp disc like you do when formatting?

there will be no problem if you delete your partitions. Windows Setup will allow you to create new ones and format them.
