I guess at least the rover can off-road. Where do you go outta curiosity? I'd have bought a jeep instead but to each his own.

lol Viper like I said I dont live in Colombia. I live in a small town south of Boston. I probably shouldn't have put the plane pics in there cause now everyone thinks were drug dealers. Anyway, the "shaggin wagon" in the background is my mom's '86 Taurus! My mom doesnt really drive often, and can you believe it only has 77,000 miles on it!? The reason for all the navigation systems is, well, mainly cause of my mom. Since she doesnt think driving is safe, she never lets my brothers or I drive often, so in order to sneak around my dad got navigation systems in all the cars so we could visit our friends and go on trips since we dont know our way around without getting lost. Also, my dad loves anything with a screen and a processor in it. So that explains it.

"Ward, I'm worried about El Beaver! His sales in school are dropping! What's that? Summer vacation?!" 😀

I drive 70miles/day to and from work with my echo and put gas in it every 2 weeks (whether it needs it or not)

see you at the pumps

maybe dad should have bought cheaper cars and got a better house... is that aluminum SIDING?

Cars/trucks/SUVs are tools.

You should have the right one for your needs.

That means that yes, some people NEED SUVs, trucks, and mini vans and they should choose the most reliable/practical/economical ones to do the job.

I do think it is hilarious to see women in my community driving the "Luxury SUVs". I mean, it's an OXYMORON! Would you actually go of road in one of those babies? I have a neighbor with a Mercedes SUV and she drives it to the grocery store, the mall, etc. It is kept spotless and clean. It is a status symbol and nothing more. She could be driving something more useful and practical but that is not her style. Me, I have a really nice mini van... my other choice would have been a nice Volvo station wagon. I like quality, but I also like things to be practical. I don't live in the country or on rough terrain... I don't need an SUV. If I ever need an SUV I will get one... but it will be used as a Sports/Utility vehicle and not just a jumbo luxury car. In otherwords, If I drive a SUV it will be because I am hauling stuff around and getting it dirty! If I scrape it up a bit, no big deal.

Anyway, that's just my opinion... everyone is free to think whatever they want!

Nice but do you really need 3 SUVS? YOu should have bought an M3 instead of that X5. Now THAT is fast.

BTW those pics on your friend's site are pretty cool.

just trying to go against the status quo skoorb. I agree, M3's are nice. But the X5 has the highest crash rating of ANY vehicle the NHTSA has ever tested. With teenagers driving it, that's a good feature.

I don't like the X5. Back seat's too cramped for me.
As far as posting that your family has money, can I ask why????

I mean what's the point?! I'm sorry but I have to say this. Having toys are all nice and fun, but is there a purpose? Having wealth is one thing but to flaunt it is another.

BTW, nice toys.

<< I picked all three of them that we currently own:

1) 1995 Land Rover Discovery w/ brushbar, Alpine navigation system and 6.5" LCD screen (no upgraded speakers, dont listen to loud music)

Just wondering what you guys think of SUV's. I love them, we take the Rover off roading ...
>>

Seeing as you actually use the Landrover for what a SUV is meant to do keep that one. As for the other two, if your into performance sell the SUV's and get a couple of sports cars. They will do much better on the New Hampshire Speedway.
For what you paid just for the X5 you can buy a Porsche or other high performance sports cars.

<< Uno Marto del Wal! Este lunes! >>

LMAO. Between this, and Viper's comment about no walmarts in columbia, I'm in tears over here 🙂

BTW - lunes = monday in spanish 😉

frizzlefry, that's the point. They are nice toys, nothing else. I never said "look my family has money", nor was that the point of the post. I was hoping other people would post pics of their cars, but they didn't. I'm not flaunting money, I'm sharing pictures of unique vehicles that, as you can tell from what other people have said in my post, are very controversial. They create a "buzz" of either "SUV's suck" or "those are interesting vehicles". I'm interested in people's opinions of the SUV's I've chosen, nothing more. Also, I'd like to see some pics of other people's "toys" or cars. I love looking at pictures, that's why I posted mine. I just love the controversial nature of SUV's these days, that's why we got the X5 as the third.

What do I think?.... Can I borrow 10 grand please?....

I will never be able to afford what your parents have.... but hey... now that I have your license plate numbers.... I'll be dropping by to... umm... say hi... 😉

-Max

BTW, my aunt has the Mercedes ML 230, too. The thing has like, no balls, I find it ugly too. If I were to drive an "suv" I'd probably get the Nissan Xterra.
