It was a link (which I found was illegal here anyway) to a buy.com coupon that I thought was good for existing customers, but I guess I was brain-dead at 4:00am and it was really only for new customer so it's no good after all.

I could swear when I went there at 4:00am it didn't say "new customers" but maybe my coffee hadn't kicked in yet. Bummer. Anyway, I edited the title, but it would probably be best if the thread was deleted altogether, I doubt any of us are new customers to buy.com anymore.

Well, like I said I saw here in this forum links to 800.com coupons (from a "Senior Member" no less) so I thought it was OK.

It's useless anyway, it turns out it's for new customers and there's always plenty of those.

trots - For all I care an Elite Member could post a coupon and it would still be wrong. Please accept my apologies if my polite post came across the wrong way. I was merely posting the Hot Deals forum description I found here, that's all. Member status has absolutely nothing to do with it. We have great posts from Junior and Elite members alike.

Yes we can, I really didn't take your post in a bad way and I'm sorry that mine apparently came across as such. I was just rationalizing my screw-up... I have no problem with being corrected when I break the rules.

Anyway I hope the mods just delete this thread, it's only taking up space now.
