Deleted. Had my say.

if you know this is going to get locked why dont you put this in the off topic forum or something. i dont understand the people who've been here for a while who make off-topic posts and then at the end state i know this is going to get locked blah blah...whats the point?

Locked? No way! Those stupid people should not be allowed to have a say in our nation anyhow... no matter what candidate they mean to chose.

Oh... I think I know what RTFM means... hehe

"only an IDIOT would choose the wrong candidate."

Close. Actually, only an idiot, or a senile 90-year old who lives in Palm Beach, FL.

Well as somebody who has studied user interfaces and usability, I'd say that whoever designed those ballots ought to be shot. Something like that needs to be designed to be *very* clear and easy to use for a large number of people. There is no excuse for desiging a ballot that difficult to understand. The longer you look at it, the more you wonder if you punched out the right hole.

The longer you look at it and more confused you get the dumber you are... that is for sure.

I can just imagine all those dumbdumbs at home PRACTICING at home to vote... hehehehe... if you believe that BS then...

"only an IDIOT would choose the wrong candidate."

Apparently, half the country are idiots! 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

I think it is your own ignorance and narrowmindedness that shows how weak your argument is. Just because you don't get confused by something means that no one else should, especially seniors who are more easily confused than anyone. You don't see scam artists on the phone trying steal the life savings of young people do you? Besides that, those people received a sample ballot that had two sets of holes and in that ballot Al Gore was the second hole down. They don't normally switch the style of ballot from the sample, so these people thought that they were doing exactly what they had practiced at home, and had no reason to scrutinize the ballot and make sure it wasn't different. These people weren't trying to solve a puzzle or take an iq test, they were trying to vote for the man that they believed should be president. If you think all of the people who voted for Bush in states like Kentucky, Mississippi, South Carolina, etc. are brain surgeons then you're totally wrong. If Bush wants to win simply because some people were confused and not because he was the person that most voters wanted to win, that's his choice. He didn't win the popular vote and he only won the electoral vote on a fluke. What a president!

If the Florida statute says that the ballot was incorrectly set up, i.e. all names on the left and Republican- the current governor's party, followed by Democrat, then the ballots shouldn't be valid regardless of whether they were approved by both parties or not. That's what the statute is there for.

Only an IDIOT would post this in the Hot Deals forum, knowing, and admitting, that it is off topic and would be locked anyway.

I have to admit..the darn thing is confusing as hell..whoever loses is gonna bitc* about this until like the next election! I can see litigation going on for a looooong time...:frown:

Never underestimate human stupidity.

"Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former." -Albert Einstein

Frankly, if people are so ignorant and sloppy that they can't punch a hole correctly then they shouldn't be voting.
