Deleted Files..Help me please!!

I was installing a new OS on one of my computers and I backed everything up (or so I thought) and reformatted the drive and put a fresh copy of windows in. But I forgot to back up a few things (doh!). Is there any way to recover the things that I've lost. I've heard of programs like unerase, but will they do the trick now that the drive has been reformatted? Please answer, I'm trying to get this done by tonight. Thanks.

I think this should be in the OS section, well...

What you did was to format the drive, AND install Windows to it? If this is correct you are SOL! If you only formatted the drive, you could allways unformat it or use a special software that returns the data. But if you have installed Windows after format, there is nothing you can do.

If you had some critical files worth plenty, you can call companies like Norman Ibas. They could help you for $2000-3000,- but I doubt you had anything THAT important...

pretty much what DaFinn said. but if u must... pm me and i have a few tools that u could try. cahnces are ur stuff if gone tho.
