Installed the board.. Powered it up..My fans come on, but I dont get any video. The 4 LEDs on the board all light up red..The manual says 4 red leds indiactes a defective cpu.. the cpu is new, never been as tested as far as I know, and is not unlocked. looking for opinions on if you think the cpu is cooked.

The problem is either you're trying to use a FSB100 CPU @ 133MHz or (see the multiplier issues thread) or your Clear CMOS jumper is in the "wrong" position. There is a mistake in the manual and most often the jumper is placed in the wrong position 2-3 instead of 1-2. Try changing its position and selecting 100MHz FSB and your board should work OK.

Take care!

yep, I know of these 2 issues...j17 is on for 100mhz bus and jbat1 is on 2-3..opposite of what the book says is correct...so I think I'm good as far as that goes.

I have the same problem. My 4 led lights are on to, but when I press the reset button it usually boots up. When you find out whats wrong with yours please let me know. Thanks

I reset the cpu a couple times.. I also have used both an agp gts and pci stb to test video. I have also tried 4 sticks of memory. I still can't get anything to come up and the 4 leds have stayed red everytime...Guess I will rma on monday...

Have you tried taking out your sound, modem, ethernet cards... and just leaving your video card in? Try powering it up then pressing the restart button and see if it boots.

Have you tried it with the JBAT on 1-2? One of your messages says you got it on 2-3. On my pro2A that's clear CMOS. I know you're talking about a turbo but i thought the boards were very similar....

jbat 1-2 is clear cmos...its doesnt do anythig with this setting..the books wrong on the turbo.. 1-2 is clear, 2-3 is hold data.
