Ignore him being a jerk & finish the job ... since he's local this could end up being a lot more of a PITA then its worth.
 
What about your father's reputation? What right do you have to ruin it? B/C that's what will happen if you leave this customer flat.

Finish the job, do a good job and never deal with him again. Screw this guy and he'll ruin you rep in your town.

I'm not sure how this ended up being our fault here ... all I can tell you is that If I had hired you to do a job & you didn't show up to do it I'd be pretty pissed off, however if you didn't show up one time I'd have given you the benefit of a doubt.

If you decided to blow the job off completely though, not only would I take legal action for breach of contract (wether written or verbal) but I would file a complaint with the Police & do everything possible to tarnish your reputation & see to it you got no more local work.

Finally, I'm 42 & I'd say EXACTLY these words to your face.

close im 30 and balding. but i at least i am not a scam artist. I fulfill contracts i make. i would rather be a balding thin a un-ethical person any day.

My self respect is Worth more then how i look.
