Yeah these really have nothing to do with the Olympics besides perhaps using the same drug-testing standards.

 
More to the point, no country always wins all of the time, whether its the Olympics, or some other world championship event. Fact is that not every pro athlete is native to the US, so they can and do choose to play for their home nations.

While switching back to only amateurs playing in these events would be good for other reasons, it would not guarantee US dominance in world class events by any means.
