This is the result. I'll be hooking up actual temp sensors either today or tomorrow, and then I'll do some more testing with those on there.

The CPU1 & CPU2 fans on high/low are on the controller, and at 12V they are plugged into the motherboard. I'm thinking about grabbing my video camea, and doing some recording to measure the sound difference. We'll see how that goes.

So with the sidecover on and all fans set low you have 50C on CPU#2 @ 100% usage.

That would seem to be pretty fair cooling for dual Xeons and damn quiet too :D

With this set-up running, how far away do you need to be to not hear it?

What was the ambient in S.E. Texas?

Ambient temp was about 72 degrees F when I tested. I can pretty much hear the machine throughout the house with the doors open and everything off in the house, but it isn't terribly loud.
