As SETI classic is now dead, I'm looking for another program to let my machine idle on. I was running the command line version (not the pretty one) of SETI, and it put all four processors at 100% usage. I'm looking for something else that I can set the affinity for the program to 4. Thanks ya'll.

EDIT: I'm not sure if I want to use BOINC. I used it before, and I'm not sure if I want to use it... But I'll keep it in mind.

My final stats.

Why not try DPAD? Easy setup, non-BOINC, can use 4 processors, TeAm needs all the points it can get. Here it is! 🙂

An other way of finding what is going on is to join Team Anandtech Sentinels (=TAS), which is a rally-team and which changes projects each month.

The main goals of TAS is to:

- Increase TeAm AnandTech's participation and production in projects.
- Introduce people to projects they're no so familiar with.
- Have LOTS of fun!
- Establish TeAm AnandTech as a major player in all that is DC.

TAS lives here ... welcome to join!

Folding@Home is my present project. It has a nice command line client that you can easily install as a service, as well as set cpu usage % and priority.
