damn i agree man, if i was your dad i would tell that lady to hit the road, and if my wife didn't like it she can leave too (how smart or sane can your SM be for wanting/letting this happen) no offense

Your dad is going to have to stand his ground on this one, no matter what it takes.

I'd be making damn sure that woman never comes near my family again.

He's probably scared to say anything like that. They might cut him into pieces and bury him in the basement.

I feel sorry for my Dad, he's had to put up with my SM's wackiness for 75% of their 21 year marriage. I was raised by my Grandparents so I avoided alot of what my Dad and my Step-Bro and Sis have had to go through. Something you have to keep in mind is that to sit down and have a rational conversation with my SM about anything that carries some weight (finances, her crazy a$$ mom, cleaning the house) is impossible. She throws a fit like a 3 year old.

Sorry, I didn't know exactly how to word it when I was typing the OP. My SM's Stepdad is the one who was killed. His family lives out of state so they kept him alive until they arrived to see him.

What's happening with the trial? I think there's going to be some prison time.

I'm not sure about the trial date, but she is scheduled to have one under the charges of 2nd Degree Murder. What I'm afraid is that she'll plead mentally insane, get sent back to a mental hospital, and released shortly thereafter with no prison time. Someone with such mental instability should be deemed a threat to society and kept under lock and key.

I don't live with my Dad and SM, thank God, I'm 27 and have my own place. I'm just concerned for the well-being of my little Bro and Sis. They've been through enough with the loss of their "PawPa". Having an unpredictable mentally ill person staying in there home is too much and they shouldn't have to deal with that.
