i've had no issues with geil ram. i use it and i know three more ppl that use it. we've always had good results with geil ram for price and performance
 
people need to realize that it might not be the ram manufactors that suck. you might have gotten unlucky and got a bad stick of ram.

even if you got some expensive ocz performance ram, there is still a chance you get a bad stick and will need to RMA it.

so don't give geil ram a bad name when you've had only one bad experience.
 
I've never gotten a stick of geil ram to work.

I've purchased 2 512 pc3200's (platinums no less), 2 256 pc 2700's and 1 512 pc2100

the only ones that would run at all where the 2 256'ers (it took 4 rma's to newegg), and even then they would only run as pc2100 with relaxed timings (slower than spd timings)

edit: the after 2 rma's on the platinums I replaced them with Samsung modules, after all the mess with the others the pc2100 stick I bought, I only rma'd it once, then had it replaced with samsung as well.
