When people type like that, I read it back in my head as if the person is a motormouth. It sucks and I tend not to even read all of it. Example, your post.. I stopped ater the first line.

The point of participating in a forum is to communicate with others, not confuse them or embarass yourself. If you can't be bothered reading your post before clicking "Post", I can't be bothered reading it either, much less blowing smoke up your ass about its legibility. It makes you come off as young and not quite bright, much like using acronyms such as u, ur, plz, thx, ne1, wut, etc.

I am all for abbreviation and stream of conscious posting on a forum...but when one becomes cryptic or with no regard at all for spelling, esp. on post where they are making claims to their great intelligence.

It's one thing to spell patience as patiance or patiense which are just typos and another to write patients.

If you can express your thought in a coherent paragraph, I am more likely to take your post seriously and/or respect your opinion. If a post is riddled with spelling and grammar errors, it probably isn't worth my time.

then dont read it, plain and simple. i try to spell words the best way i can if uncertain how to spell it. but people act like its not ok to make a mistake, hell you learn from your mistakes. ive learned how to spell words the right way after posting it the wrong way.

like i said, most people act like kids about spelling errors. im guessing most people assume if you cant spell everything correctly, then your a dumbass? how cute

Don't even try to capitalize either, eh? How cute.
It is not as if though the internets is the end all and be all when it comes to judging somebody, but for the love of God at least try to spell words correctly and do simple things like proper punctuation and capitalization.
Most people can tolerate and expect some grammar and spelling errors but when people (e.g. DP and the OP) do not even attempt to post coherent writings, it is not worth most people's time to even reading what they wrote - or even caring.

This is an internet forum. How well you spell and write is my only impression of your ability to communicate. If you can't do those two things well, I have to assume that you can't communicate well. It may not be an accurate measure of overall intelligence, but it certainly lowers my expectations. The same is true of any other form of communication.
