They took blood from him for DNA sample, so something must have shown up. Also the people next door heard something and some other witness saw the girl run out of the room kinda in panic.
But of course, he was set up by the police, call J.Cockren (sp?)

well it turned out that the rooms next to his were vacant, so that noise one was false info...
 
not surprising at all to hear theyre filing charges. the DA has been calling the accuser a 'victim' since day one, but he's not biased or anything

My sister personally knows the alleged victim, and her opinion is that if she says she was assaulted, she was assaulted. My sister believes that the alleged victim is of impeccable character.

Now, none of you know me nor my sister nor the alleged victim, so I don't expect any of you to give any credence to this opinion, but I did want to throw a dissenting opinion into the thread.

Its he said she said, and apparently there is enough evidence to support her claim. Obviously they had semen to test. Andthe hospital she went to likely saw signs of forced intercourse.

Most Probable Situation:

Kobe Bryant was in Colorado for knee surgery so I would venture to guess he probably wasn't with his entourage or his wife. I'd the situation played out something like this:

Mr. Bryant goes to a shopping area/mall/public area
Girl X sees Mr. Bryant
Girl X introduces herself to Mr. Bryant
Mr. Bryant invites Girl X to dinner
Girl X accepts
Mr. Bryant and Girl X go to dinner
Girl X and Mr. Bryant have one too many drinks
Mr. Bryant invites Girl X to hotel room
Girl X accepts
Mr. Bryant or Girl X initiates intimate physical contact
One thing leads to another... lights go out...

Next Morning
Girl X leaves hotel room before Mr. Bryant wakes up
Girl X tells about the night before to a friend
Friend says he's married
Girl X says Mr. Bryant said he wasn't
Friend says Mr. Bryant lied
Girl X is upset
Girl X decides to file lawsuit alledging sexual misconduct

I don't doubt the fact that copulation occurred. I just doubt the fact that Mr. Bryant forced himself upon Pretty Girl X. I've seen this happen to one of my friends before. The lesson? Don't cheat, and know the person above or below you in bed before jumping in.

well lets look at what we do know:

the accuser willing goes to kobe briants room late at night
the accuser doesnt go to the police until the next day
kobe is a millionaire celebrity addored by all

so whats more likely

1) kobe briant, who can most likely get laid anywhere anytime with little or no effort on his part, chooses to rape somebody or
2) the accuser goes to his room because she wants to get laid by a celebrity and comes to the conclusion the next day that she can make some money out of it, or decided she doesnt want to be a slutty whore thus claims she was raped

so unless she came out of the room with choke marks or whatever id say the choice is obvious, but of course that would still beg the question why she waited till the next day
 
i hope all nba team will compensate this girl if kobe is found guilty as she did something that no one was able to do and that is to unload one super start from lakers.
 
Good thing this happened in the USA, where consent is still a defense to rape, although consent is slowly being restricted as a defense here, too.

Pretty soon, we won't even need those pesky juries and court rooms. A woman will just allege 'rape' and the man is instantly sentenced to prison because, you know, 'women wouldn't lie about something like that'.
