So, my girlfriend had her yearly female doctor visit this past week. Last night, she says that the doctor said she is pretty sure she has HPV. So yeah, I don't know what that means for me. We have had protected familiar relations before. I've done some research today, and it kinda sounds like its just an occasional plantar's wart, but in your nether regions. What do I do? Info and insight please. Feel free to PM me if you don't want to post.

I would go get tested first, then ask your Dr what to do.
Wasn't there a report that the number of women with HPV was rising sharply, like 46% of women from 18 to 32 or something

I've stopped answering these threads.
YOU CAN'T FVCKING TEST FOR HPV IN MEN
If you have HSV (cancerous strains), you'll never show signs, you'll just be a carrier.
If you have regular HSV you won't know till you display signs.
The amount of misinformation distributed about STDs by knowitalls are amazing.
While we're at it HSV cannot be cured.

Well from what I read there isn't a test for men. It is skin born and not blood born. And it doesn't pose any actually danger for men, so apparently it isn't important enough to make a test for. For women, the strains that cause cancer show up on a pap smear. Or so says some informational websites.
Apparently, all warts are HPV just different strains, there are like 4 strains that are bad for women causing cancer, they have a partial vaccine now (for women/ clinical trials with men) too I guess. Some strains can go on any skin, some just on the feet, and some just the crotchal area. For guys its apparently just a hassle to have liquid nitrogened if they show up. Then to top it off, it seems sometimes peoples immune system can just repress it, so a guy would never know if he had a good immune system. So, it is theoretically possible that I had it and have been repressing it, but she didn't repress it. How the hell am I supposed to figure this crap out!

I'm not talking herpes, human papilloma virus (HPV).

Are you kidding? You OWN the relationship now. Anytime your girl wants you to do anything, you can just pull the old "I don't have to listen to you, you gave me HPV" card.
