Hp printers have the print head built into the cartridge. If you change the cartridge you will be all set. If you want to try to unplug the cartridge nozzles you can remove it and let it sit overnight with the print head touching several layers of damp paper towels. If that doesn't work you can try a shallow pan of warm water about 1/8" deep.
