The deal is over. The apps are back to their retail prices. Glad I got a $15 app for free :D

Saw this this morning and assumed there would be a thread. Appears not. There are some good ones, like the office pro, which retails for $15.

Are they only for Kindles or..? Can I get them on my Nexus 7?

Edit: Oh, I see there is an instruction to install Amazon Appstore on Android devices. I guess that's how it works? Hmm.. Not sure if I want to have any more storefronts. Thank you for the heads-up, anyway.

IMO Tune-in Radio Pro and Office Pro suites are worth getting if you don't already have something similar.

How is Splashtop? The one listed for sale is quite old (March 2011), and there is a newer one. Also, what advantage does Splashtop have compared to Teamviewer (which is free)? Out of curiosity.

Dunno about Teamviewer, but the original Splashtop had no fees beyond the actual app purchase. The sequel has a monthly access charge.

Another Question: What happens if I uninstall Amazon Store app after I have gotten the apps on sale? Will the apps stop functioning?

Haven't tested out splashtop. I'm still at my mom's and won't get back to my real computers until Monday. Is there an app compatible with the iPad :)?

Yes, they use the Amazon store for authentication.

I like amazon App store. There are frequent free apps, plus amazon saves your apps and you can buy from a computer and push to your devices.

yes, apps will not work. I'm not a fan of the Amazon App Store and have deleted the App Store from all my Android devices. The apps I got for free I liked on Amazon App Store, I bought it again on the Google Play Store to be free of Amazon.

Thanks to AndroidPolice for alerting me to this deal.

I kind of wish I'd downloaded OfficeSuites Pro 6; sounds handy.
I was torn. I don't have a pressing need for it ATM, and the permissions it requires sounded highly intrusive, plus there was reports of charging for basic fonts and upgrades, and always running in the background, so I hemmed and hawed until the window of opportunity slipped away.

I did pick up Splashtop Remote. Now I just need to install the streaming component on my pc. I also installed the useless Gravilux app.

I already have TuneIn Radio Pro. It's everything you want in a radio app.

Google's Play has had that feature for ages. You make it seem like its something special.
