Toyota Avalon doesn't require premium and gets really close to your milage requirements.

It doesn't look *too* bad. Especially the touring models.

Also, do they sell TDI passats here still? Those get pretty good gas mileage

My wife's 98 and 03 both did.

You're not going to get a V6 car that gets 24/31. Most V6's get in the low 20's.

Every single car someone has suggested that meets your criteria, you've shot down. Why don't you just buy what you want and stop hassling people here since you won't listen anyway.

i'm actually not looking for a v6..

Why do people care so much if it uses premium?

I've never owned a car that doesn't take premium... I just tack on .10/L per fill up. Whats that like $5? 😛

Meh I dunno.. I love my Altima.. the VQ35 takes 91 octane, but it's not a big issue to me.

honda accord v6 will run you the same in gas costs as an acura tsx that uses premium. the tsx gets better mileage than the v6 accord i think

I have an 02 Passat and love it. And yes the 1.8t does use premium, as will the 2.0t you are looking at. I get 20-25ish city with 30pmg on the highway for a reference point.
Other Recommendations
Mazda6 - Sporty and Functional
Subaru Legacy - Sporty and Functional again

Subaru?s are very reliable, and Mazda is fine in the reliability category as well.
