Delete junk mail before it enters junk mailbox via MS Outlook 2003?

Hi,

Is it possible to set up a rule to move junk mail in the junk mailbox to the Deleted Emails section? I blocked off a few domains who keep sending me crap and it kinda gets annoying to have to empty out my junk inbox 10 times a day. I rather have it deleted automatically.

Thanks.

In Outlook, go to Tools > Options and the Options panel will appear. On the Preferences tab, is there a Junk E-mail button? If so, go in there and you should be able to set it to just delete the junk email upon arrival.

Or you could set up rules to delete email from certain domains upon arrival. Have it check messages when they arrive, with specific words (the unwanted domains) in the sender's address, and have it perma-delete them no questions asked.

But that would delete ALL incoming junk email which I don't want because I still have some safelisting to do....

That would work, but there's 100+ blacklisted domains I have including a few new ones each week AND it would be a pain to enter it all in....if only I could redirect MS Outlook to the Blocked Senders List...

Deleting the contents of the junk folder is optional, and it sounds like you may have OCD if you feel the need to empty it that often. :) If a "good" email ends up in the junk folder you can whitelist it and delete the rest. Even if you could set a rule for the junk email to go to deleted items instead of delete permanently you are only saving 2 clicks. :p

Would it be feasible to change your email address and only give it to people who WON'T abuse it (thus sending your email address on a world tour for the Spammers to harvest)?

Big picture: it's time for a fundamental shift in the world's email system. The Spam problem is outta control.

Are there other mail clients out there that have such a feature that I am looking for?
