deleeting windows 2K

I have a driend with an old Toshiba laptop, and he currently has a dual boot of Windows XP Home & Windows 2000 (Pro, i think), and he wants to get rid of Windows 2K. how do you do it? because i can't delete C:/WINDOWS becasue that has XP in it too. plz help!😱😕

If it's not 'Windows' what directory is 2k installed into? XP and 2k are not installed into the same dir. If it appears they are, then your upgrade probably left an orphaned boot.ini entry you need to edit out.

If it's a "dual boot", why not just format that 2K partition? Then merge it with his existing XP install for the space???

yeah, is it on a 2nd partition? you could just move everything over to the xp partition and then format it. if its on the same partition, just delete the winnt folder and change the boot.ini
