Well, the delayed write seems to be fixed, but now the video freeze thing happens every time i boot up windows, so it didn't make much of a difference.....now i have no idea what to do.

ok....video thing seems to be gone (took out my wireless card), but after RMAing the drive for replacement, the replacement drive now has a delayed write failure....also i think the video freeze may be related to the sata drive. I need the windows drivers for SATA to try in place of the via ones because this write failure thing must stop. Can someone point me to them?

ok...now my SATA drive is making constant clicking sounds even though I disabled the onboard SATA until I can get this fixed....I DESPERATELY need advice on this matter...is there any info on SATA drives out there that someone could point me to? I don't want another drive going bad on me.

borrowed a SATA cable off a friend, and it appears to work, so I guess it was a bad cable...not sure how long it'll keep working, though...the cable I was using was 2ft long and he cable i replaced it with is only 1ft 2 inches, so i may have been losing the transmitted clock over the longer cable...
