Seems for some reason my computer is taking an extra 30-40 seconds at start up to settle down. During that 30-40 seconds I can't click on anything as it will just freeze up until it's finished what it's doing. I Cont-Alt-delete as soon as the desktop appears and things seem to be taking some time to get going. The ones that are taking the most time and resources at startup are MpfTray.exe and McSheild.exe which is part of Mcafee. I have had problems in the past with load times on start up because of Bells internet PPPOE. I was forced to change my IP manually to something without the number 69 in it to aviod slow start up load times. In anycase, this time I am having real difficulty figuring out what is slowing things down. I thought it was probably McAfee but I called my friend and he doesn't seem to have that problem with McSheild taking up resources on startup. He lives in Calgary though and doesn't deal with Bell. My friend here in Toronto has the same problem as me. So it seems to be a Bell issue again but I can't figure it out. Here is a list of what starts up for me from top to bottom: Any ideas?
