Delay the election?

I think giving the various issues with voting, ie, voting fraud, missing ballots, touch screen issues, etc, would it not be better to delay election vote until these issues are resolved?

Yeah, that's exactly what we need: this government setting another scary precedent involving a complete disregard for the laws, constitution, and bill of rights. If they had it their way, they'd likely burn all old documents and draft a new Constitution based on the religious right and suppresion of differing view points.

Just my own opinion, but with all the problems we have read about I believe lengthening the time voters have to get to the polls will effectively counter any adverse effects from the rampant attempts of voter disenfranchisement or voter fraud. Let's make the vote last one week, start on a Sunday and end the next Saturday, just to make sure no one has any excuse not to vote or not to have their vote counted.

And to avoid any future problems, let's make it permanent.

Anyway, yes the doomsday scenario has barely been pushed by the press until the last two days. As this election implodes I think it is becoming more and more likely we will have a mess even worse than 2000. Most of the changes to voting procedures have been cosmetic. New voting machines principally. But the integrity of the process hasn't been enhanced significantly.

Do we value voting enought to put dollars behind great voting procedures? Well, we'll see after this debacle, and, yes, I fear this will be a debacle.

And who does that favor? Well with God AND the Supreme Court On Your Side, how can you lose? To say nothing of our professional military who will pay allegiance to which candidate?
