I have managed to get the K8V Deluxe board working effectively after much heartache so I would encourage everyone stick with it - it can be done. However I have one remaining issue. When starting up the PROMISE controller identfies the RAID 0 setup and then the screen goes blank for about 30 seconds before XP launches. It is obviously a timeout but I have already disabled on-board sound, network etc. Does anyone know what the BIOS is looking for?
BTW - I have just upgraded my 4-in-1 drivers from the ASUS site and my 3DMark score has jumped by over 1000! As the board was recently bought I had not expected this but it goes to show - always check your drivers.
