Well...? I'd like to get an idea. Some people I know do, some don't.

Whether you do or don't, I'd like to know a bit about your dreams. When you dream, do you dream realistic dreams or unrealistic dreams? Do you dream abnormal dreams? Does stuff in your dreams seem like real life? Or do you just not remember any of your dreams?

Thanks. Just want a bit of info.

"I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal."

I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slaveowners will be able to sit down together at a table of brotherhood.

I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a desert state, sweltering with the heat of injustice and oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.

I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day the state of Alabama, whose governor's lips are presently dripping with the words of interposition and nullification, will be transformed into a situation where little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls and walk together as sisters and brothers.

I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight, and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together."

There's more than one kind of dream

I get deja vu every so often. A few weeks ago, it was really freaky, because I had deja vu that I had deja vu before. It was like doubly-nested deja vu. That was an odd feeling.... A few days ago, a friend and I were talking about our new hackey sacks, and he mentioned that he performed durgery on his, and removed some of the beads, and I had this feeling that we had talked this exact conversation before. I really think we had, and we just had both forgot.

Neo: Whoa. Deja vu.

Trinity: What did you just say?

Neo: Nothing. Just had a little deja vu.

Trinity: What happened? What did you see?

Neo: A black cat went past us and then I saw another that looked just like it.

Trinity: How much like it? Was it the same cat?

Neo: It might have been. I'm not sure.

Trinity looks at Morpheus who listens quietly to the rasping breath of the old building.

Neo: What is it?

Trinity: A deja vu is usually a glitch in the Matrix. It happens when they change something.

I have read a little bit about it, the only thing I remember is that there are several theories as to why it happens but no actual proof.... It is a common human experience and does happed to many, it may happen to some without them even being aware of it as deja vu.

One theory and the one that was most convincing to me was that the two halves of your brain process the same information slightly out of sequence and so one side remembers the experience as the other side is interpreting it..... Lobotomized patients do not experience deja vu IIRC. Lending credince to this theory.

I experienced it VERY frequently as an adolescent, I've grown out of it mostly but still get it from time to time.

dejavu was explained to me by a phychology teacher once. She said that it happens when a single "skips" between certain neurons in your brain. So it basicly goes from being in the present to the part of the brain that has history. That is why you instantly realize that you have already experienced it.

Still seems weird because dejavu's feel so real. I get them maybe once every 6 months.
