Degree: AS CIS
Job: IT Consultant
Salary: Depends on the work. I grossed about $16,000 last year, but I was going to school full time and only had about 180 hours of billable work for the year.
Experience: 10 years

Degree: BSEE
Job: Electrical / Controls Engineer (Automation)
Salary: This field left blank on purpose
Experience: nearly 19 years or so

Degree: computer science
Job: NOC technician
Salary: 62k base, did about 71k last year.
Experience: 1 year at this job, 5-6 years total

Worked help desk for a few years than Level 3 server support for another couple years. Moved to NOC a year ago, which is more on the telecommunications side, but I love it. I'd do IT again if I had to, but I have to say I much prefer this job. IT had way too much politics. I more enjoy the technical side of things. The shift work is also very nice, gives me lot of time off. Been off since last Thursday, and only starting Wednesday, for example. Love it.

Degree: BS in Computer Science
Job: Software Engineer
Salary: Enough
Experience: 6 years

Don't really feel like listing my salary, but it's good for where I live and my position... especially considering that all of my job-related insurances are paid for by my employer. So, the only deduction from my paycheck is for retirement (and taxes of course).

BS in computer science. Job: "senior software engineer" is my title i guess. Experience: 8 years.

Salary: look it up on glass door for california.

I'd have to say my first full time job paid less than half what I make now and that was 7 years ago and I was pretty happy with that even. Now no debts, no obligations, I am not very spendy EXCEPT I buy a new car every 3 years in the $40k range and pay with checks.
