Read a thread here about how "someone cut me off".
This seems to be one of the major causes of the Road Rage epidemic we are experiencing in this country today'
Define exactly how someone "Cut you off".
I've been accused of it way too many times, and it has always been strictly because i got in front of someone, albeit safely and moved on quite fast enough so as to not slow them down at all (I have an 8.1 Litre Chevy turning 0ver 400 HP).
IMHO this does not constitute "Cutting them Off". My definition of "Cutting Off" is when someone "Cuts" in front of you dangerously or pulls out suddenly ahead of you so that you have to take evasive action or brake hard. NOT simply getting in front of someone, provided you do not hinder their chosen speed, as it seems most drivers consider any act of anyone getting ahead of them "Cutting them Off".
Every week I have at least one instance of someone blowing through a stop sign to get ahead of me, then slowing way down. I would also label this behaviour as "Cutting Off", in a sense, irritating to me, but I just pass at the first opportunity.
Also, I witness a lot of a**holes driving slower than the speed limit, hindering traffic, and when I or the vehicle in front of me starts to pass, the a**holes floor it. Sometimes the a**holes want to run you down and accuse you of "Cutting them Off"!
This has happened to me twice in the last year!
I have many Road Rage stories, but I will not post them here.
Save those for another thread.
What, in your minds, constitutes "Cutting someone Off"?
