I live about a mile away from 4 sets of tracks - 3 are for cargo, and one is a test track for GE. Thankfully, there is a bridge that goes over the tracks, otherwise getting to class could take anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour, depending on how busy the tracks are. 🙂 Damn long trains, and they're fairly busy.
