Anyone getting in on this game? It sounded kind of interesting, but gamefly decided they didn't want to ship me this game, so I am waiting to hear impressions of the game.

I haven't heard 1 good thing about this game (and honestly looks pretty bad)...and if the TV show flops..I doubt this will be supported for long.

welcome to the new age... to the new age welcome to the new age... to the new age...

this game has pimples, and smells like cheetos

I am hearing more and more negative things, and think I will just skip it. I will wait for Destiny to jump into an MMO on the consoles.

It can be played like an MMO if you look at some of the info on it. The fact that people can be running a mission and run into you and help you out is a lot like an MMO, and it sounds way better than Defiance. Plus it's from Bungie.

Yeah, but it isn't instanced. Like many MMOs are on quests. I am looming forward to it for sure

I have the game.

playing it right now.

As for the coop system.. ummm... they have coop instance maps.
I guess those are more RAID type maps which are 4 man instances..

The game is super sideways progression... meaning so far the only end game stuff ive seen, have same dmg as the newbie stuff, but only better mod slots / synergy tables which come with the end game stuff.

Otherwise... its very sideways progression.

Gonna at least try to finish the story mission, but i bought the deluxe set.. and im kinda regretting it.

The game play is simular to Just Cause.
You have main missions and side missions.
You also have fraction reputation like rift.

In simple terms.. its exactly like Rift mated with Just Cause2/Prototype added saints row the third type coop in missions.
The character tho has a very CoD / Dead Island feel to it... in terms of third person shooter, i think warframe has a better engine then Defiance.

I only played the Beta briefly on PC, i did not really like the talent or whatever system, but i did not give it a lot of time. If i can find a deal on it might try it out for xbox. Interested to see how the show ties in to it.

I've got it and I really like it. I'm about ego level 200 (only got it 4 days ago) and I'm looking for some people to friend to co-op through some of the missions that are just about impossible to do solo (like the dual escort mission for the miners. Anyone want to get in on this and maybe start an Anandtech clan?

I picked it up and it was a lot of fun. I played an Arkfall event last night and we had well over 100 people helping out trying to finish the fight in the amount of time.

Yeah, it can get pretty shitty though when there are so many people that no one notices you if you get killed and need to get revived. I have been in arkfalls where there are 50-75 people and there is so many explosions and people running around that you go unnoticed.

But I still like the game, currently EGO 731, i am only playing casually though.

Yeah, they can get a bit crazy. I usually have a few friends on playing when we do arkfalls, so I always have someone to pick me up.

If you guys didn't do the ark hunter codes, you should find them and put them in. The added storage space and increase for weapon levels makes it worth taking the few minutes and putting the codes in.
