Defective CRT?

If it wasn't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all

I got a new monitor that's listed in my sig. and the first one had these white spots in the glass so they sent me a new one. Now I'm noticing that the hue keeps fading in and out a light blue color?

Is there a adjustment for that? I have the refresh rate at 120hz.

Thanks

I had a problem similar to what you're experiencing with my long since RMA'd AOC LCD. Does the color fade in and out across the entire screen, or in just one area of the screen? Have you tried degaussing the monitor? Does this problem occur uniformly at every refresh rate?

you would get more answers if you just stated the monitor involved

Hue fading in and out could be bad or loose cable, or one of three color guns going bad

Make sure the monitor is listed by name in vidcard control panel tabs so you know .inf driver is loaded

mine would go blue then red till it just stopped showing green altogether. now its stuck at an eerie blue/red. maybe yours is on the verge of death 🙁

I lost the green and then subsequently the blue electron guns on an old crappy CRT several years ago. It displayed something like this syndrome (first purple, then dark red).

Edit: I also saw this on a friend's Samsung CRT recently (it was one of the lowest-end cheapest models, though).

I though when I stated the spec's are in my sig. that would be enough but here ya go Samsung SyncMaster 1100DF 21" CRT Flat Screen

The whole screen fades in and out a very light blue color .. kinda looks like looking thru blue sunglasses. I've never degaussed one before but will give that a try. Looks like I'm on to #3 .. I'll bet ya this darn thing is "Made In China" .. I haven't looked yet .. I'm tired of seeing that on all the stuff I buy nowadays.

Thanks To Everyone For The Input 🙂
