Default Ringer while Charging vs Discharging (Droid 2.2)

Okay,

I've had my phone for about a week (Droid Incredible with 2.2). I've noticed something strange with the ringer for users that aren't in my contact list.

When discharging, the phone rings the default custom ringer (MP3) that I have set. When charging (using factory AC adapter into a wall, not a computer), it uses the "stock" ringtone adjacent to my custom ringtone.

My ringtones are stored on the internal memory and not the SD card. (However they are not in the same directory in the internal memory).

Any ideas? Bug? Am I missing a setting somewhere?

Did Moto do that stuff again? They did this on the Razr phones and it was a PITA to try to explain to customers.

I'm not sure about the Inc, but in the past Moto phones would default to full volume, special ringtone, outer display on while charging.

It doesn't sound like a bug, it sounds like Moto being stupid again. But I could be 100% wrong. You may want to check out XDA or Droid Forums and see if any of those guys have a workaround.

Thanks, this is an HTC (not Moto) Incredible. My brother has one and I asked him. He has no contact ringtones, but he uses a default ringtone in an MP3 format and he says it is the same ringtone charging or not. I've don't (and never have) used any ringtone apps, just the default settings with 2.2.

I will also ask my cousin as he has the same phone, too.
