Default Gateway

Hi,
I have a DFI LanPartyUT NF-4 Ultra-D mobo with two Ethernet ports. I usually have my ethernet cable plugged into the PCIe port supplied by Nvidia. Today I tried plugging a second network cable into the other port. This second cable was connected to another PC that I wanted to share the internet with. Doing this killed my connection. I do not seem to have a default gateway anymore. Can some please help?

Never mind, I figured out how to repair it. ;_)

Just out of curiosity, if I do want to share my internet connection with another PC (running Linux), using the second ethernet port, how do I do it? Anyone knows of a good guide?
